The need for Data Science professionals is growing exponentially. Currently, the European Union estimate a shortage of 346,000 Data Scientists by 2020. IBM has also reported that Data Science roles will account for 28% of all roles by 2020.
This growing shortage is driven by the demand in data analysis from organisations, as well as increasing volumes of data being produced. Recently, Capgemini predicted data volumes growing 20,000 fold between 2000 and 2020.
Cambridge Spark believes the way of educating the next generation of professionals in technology is broken, and that there’s a skill set mismatch between higher education and industry needs. We work with some of the worlds biggest names to enable them to fill technical roles internally using government funding through our Apprenticeship Levy-approved technical courses.
